European Education & Sustainability Leadership Summit at Berlin Brandenburg International School (BBIS)

Date: 30 May - 1 June 2019

Location:
Berlin Brandenburg International School (BBIS)
Open to: Schools/Universities across Europe
Number of delegates: 150

The Berlin programme was the inaugural European iteration and followed on from successful programmes in Singapore (2015) and Cape Town (2017).

This was an aspirational summit that brought together education leaders, students and teacher “champions” of sustainability in its broadest sense, with policy makers, so that one could inform the other, so that the future path of global education can be aligned with the most urgent challenges facing humanity. A diverse group of delegates from 12 countries included CEOs, Principals, Operations Managers, School Sustainability "Champions" and students.

The intense 3-day programme featured acknowledged world leaders in education and sustainability, including Will Day and Johan Rockstrom, and attracted leading international schools and Universities from around the continent, including Vienna International School, UWC Robert Bosch College and the University of Cambridge.

The programme model that has evolved over the past few years involved corporate sponsorship and thus, on this occasions, no conference fee for delegates.
